ACTS FFA Agricultural Corporation

The ACTS FFA business unit, the Agricultural Core (AG Core) is distinctive in that it seamlessly operates as an agricultural service corporation.  The AG Core purchases products and services for their members, making large-scale purchases of fuel, seed, seedlings, fertilizers, and other supplies to achieve economies of scale, and gain brand awareness and market power.  All supplies, equipment, machinery, and maintenance for micro-farming and greenhouse food production are provided by the AG Core. Veterans provide the labor for their micro-farm and crop production and harvesting activities in exchange for a percentage of the crop yield from their respective property.

Another function of the AG Core is to assemble, pack, process, and sell Veterans' products at optimum prices. The  AG Core also provides other farming and harvesting services, as needed.  The micro- farming community plays a vital role in connecting surrounding area residents to local food production via the AG Core.

There are 3 ways a Veteran resident can participate in ACTS FFA micro-farm activities:
1. Veteran owners provide the skills and labor necessary for all micro-farm food production and harvesting conducted on his/her property, which will earn the Veteran a substantial income through revenues generated from crop yield sales.

2. A Veteran owner may establish a tenant farming relationship with another Veteran resident of the community who will provide the skills and labor necessary for micro-farm food production and harvesting in exchange for a percentage of the revenues generated from this tenant farming relationship.

3. A Veteran owner may contract the AG Core to operate all micro-farm food production and harvesting activities.  In this scenario, the Veteran and his family will earn a reduced percentage of the revenues generated from this contract relationship.

AG Core Leadership

Recognizing that many Veterans may have little or no experience in farming, especially with state-of-the-art practices that will be incorporated in ACTS FFA operations, a staff of qualified and experienced managers and mentors through the AG Core will be onsite at each project location.
